Chakra meaning

Chakras are energy centres through the body and are used in a variety of ancient meditation practice;, this is to be found in the early traditions of Hinduism. Faiths vary between the Indian beliefs, with many Buddhist writings regularly mention five chakras, while the Hindu sources suggest six or seven chakras.

The 7 chakras

There are 7 main chakras and they emit a particular colour and energy; each one corresponding with a secretory organ in the natural body. Because each chakra correlates to specific spiritual, emotional and physical aspects of our human body, it is thought that a chakra blockage can lead to physical and/or emotional ailments. The understanding and development of these energies can be aligned in order to give or assist in spiritual wellness.

the 7 chakras

Chakras of the body

They are situated in the spiritual body; starting at the base which is the root chakra and is coloured red, this is situated at the base of the spine. The chakras go up the back to the stomach chakra and is coloured orange. From there, into the solar plexus chakra where it becomes yellow, then through to the heart chakra where it is green. Then your throat chakra changes to blue, and then into your forehead (third eye) chakra which emits purple and finally entering the spiritual world of silver or white by your crown chakra.

All this alignment can lead to a chakra reading and radiates the aura colours and aura energy, which in turn leads to spiritual meditation.
